SCSU Men's Swimming and Diving Falls to Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Worcester, M.A.-- Southern Connecticut Men's Swimming and Diving fell to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) on Friday 152.5-131.5. 

200 Yard Medley Relay: 
A Southern Connecticut relay team of Daniel Lazar, Korbin Conliffe, Mason Durant and Alexander Ahrens placed third with a time of 1:42.11 

1000 Yard Freestyle: 
Dylan Prescher placed second at 10:08.13. Samir Souidi finished fourth with a time of 10:43.56. 

200 Yard Freestyle: 
Jack Fry won the even with a time of 1:47.07. Securing second for the Owls was Richie Hall at 1:48.13.

100 Yard Backstroke: 
Durant finished in fourth with a time of 56.85, following him in fifth was Vincent Roney at 56.95.  

100 Yard Breaststroke: 
Nick Fournier placed third at 1:03.48. Jack Simmons finished fifth at 1:04.88. 

200 Yard Butterfly: 
Lucas Quiroga finished second at 2:00.99, following him was Aiden Kennedy finishing in third at 2:04.29. 

50 Yard Freestyle: 
Fry won the event at 22.04. Travis Scott placed fourth at 22.65. 

1 Meter Diving: 
Elliot Speckhard won the event with a score of 238.95. Cole Mullarkey finished third scoring 188.32. 

100 Yard Freestyle: 
Fry placed third with a time of 48.66. Lazar placed sixth at 50.06. 

200 Yard Backstroke: 
Kris Janney placed second at 2:02.39. Roney finished fourth with a time of 2:08.12

200 Yard Breaststroke: 
Samuel Whittaker finished in second place at 2:21. Fournier placed sixth at 2:25.16. 

500 Yard Freestyle: 
Prescher placed second at 4:58.45, following him in third was Hall at 4:59.39. 

100 Yard Butterfly: 
Durant placed third with a time of 53.72. Jacob Tanner finished fifth at 55.57. 

3 Meter Diving: 
Mullarkey won the event scoring 188.70. 

400 Yard IM: 
Janney won the event with a time of 4:27.77, following him in second was Zachary Krantz at 4:39.84. 

200 Yard Freestyle Relay: 
A Southern Connecticut relay team of Kennedy, Scott, Fry and Prescher won the event with a time of 1:28.80. Following them another Southern Connecticut team of Hall, Janney, Quiroga and Nick Zerva finishing in 1:35.99. 

The Owls are back in action on Friday Nov. 21 when they return home to the waters of The Hutchinson Natatorium to take on The College of Staten Island at 4 PM.
