SCSU Women's Cross Country Wins 2025 NCAA East Regional, Henchcliffe Captures Individual Championship

HOPKINGTON, N.H. – Southern Connecticut women's cross country's Courtney Henchcliffe won the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Regional to lead the Owls to their second regional championship in program history.

Henchliffe is the first SCSU women's crosscountry winner to win an individual regional championship in program history. The Owls captured their second regional championship in three seasons as three runners placed in the Top 10.

Henchcliffe crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 21:29.00, almost 10 seconds ahead of the second place runner from Roberts Wesleyan. PJ Dauphinais was third at 21:46.15, which was also her personal-best time, and freshman Rae Geddes finished eighth with a personal-best time of 22:27.48.

In addition to the three Owls in the top 10, Erin Sola was 15th with a personal-best time of  22:58.46 followed by Abigail Bajorek in 17th place with a personal-best of 23:03.65.

The Owls advance to the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships on Nov. 22 at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisc.
