NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut women's basketball freshman Tish Blackwood was named the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for Week Six, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, December 22, 2025. This is the first NE10 Rookie of the Week recognition for Blackwood.

 
Tish Blackwood had a impressive performance against Dominican on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Blackwood recorded the first double-double of her career with a career-best of 23 points and grabbed a team-best of 10 boards. She was 11-for-13 from the floor and totaled a career and team-best of four steals against the Chargers. It was the seventh-most accurate performance in all of Division II this season.


The Owls will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 12:00 p.m. in a non-conference matchup against Post in the James Moore Field House.
