WORCESTER, Mass. - Southern Connecticut women's swimming and diving team leads after day two the Northeast-10 Conference Championships totaling 444 points. Following Southern Connecticut is Bentley (293), Felician (215), Assumption (159), Pace (139), Adelphi (129), Saint Michael's (114), and Staten Island (111).
Day two was highlighted by Southern Connecticut's 200 Freestyle "A" Relay team of Molly Kennedy, Ella Marzec, Justice Glasgow, and Arianna Arturi with a time of 1:34.60 to break the NE10 and school records. They broke the school record they set last year by Molly Kennedy, Hailey Nyquist, Justice Glasgow, and Arianna Arturi with a time of 1:35.22 and the NE10 record of 1:35.01 which was set by an Assumption relay team in 2020. Kennedy broke both records in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.22. She broke Katie Crochet's records as she previously held the record at Southern Connecticut and the NE10 in the 50 Free.
200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The 200 Free "A" Relay team of Molly Kennedy, Ella Marzec, Justice Glasgow, and Arianna Arturi won the event with an NE10 and school best time of 1:34.60. Kennedy led the race with a split of 23.32 and Marzec followed with a time 23.53. Glasgow then posted a
500 Yard Freestyle
Jasmine Uricchio placed second in the 500 Free with a time of 5:08.97 - last season she finished third in the event. Kali Dominguez finished third with a time of 5:09.52. Sierra DuCharme came in fourth with a time of 5:13.18.
200 Yard Individual Medley
Brooke Keeney came in second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.62 - she won the event last year and placed second in 2023. Emma St. Hilaire came in fourth with a time of 2:09.92. Aralyn Vogel and Abby Lyons came in sixth (2:12.15) and seventh (2:12.37), respectively.
50 Yard Freestyle
The Owls swept the podium in the 50 Free. Molly Kennedy won it for the second consecutive year with a time of 23.22 which was good for the NE10 and Southern Connecticut record. Ella Marzec placed second with a time of 23.80 and Justice Glasgow came in third at 23.93. Arianna Arturi came in sixth with a time of 24.34.
400 Yard Medley Relay
The 400 Medley Relay "A" team of Julia Pitchell, Ally Quitos, Justice Glasgow, and Ella Marzec won the event with a time of 3:52.45. Pitchell led the event with a time of 1:00.93 and Quitos followed up with a 1:04.58. Glasgow swam a 55.31 and Marzec anchored with a 51.63.
