SCSU Gymnastics Tips By Penn

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University gymnastics lost to University of Pennsylvania, 195.050 – 191.350, at James Moore Field House in New Haven, Conn.

Erica Beyer had the Owls' top score of the afternoon with a 9.775 on the floor exercise. Libby Allen and Abby Royer both posted 9.750's on the floor exercise while Brianna Dorr and Lexi Bracher both totaled 9.700 on the vault.

VAULT
In addition to the team-leading 9.700 by both Dorr and Bracher, Hanna Zebdi had a 9.675 and Sidney Wilson and Ava Kelly both posted a 9.625.

BARS
Kylie Sitty led the Owls on the bars with a 9.675 followed by Grace Christensen and Shreya Munshi at 9.575.

BALANCE BEAM
Alexa Melanson had a team-high 9.675 which tied for third overall. Angel Lee and Libby Allen had a 9.450.

FLOOR EXERCISE
The floor was the Owls' strong point, led by Erica Beyer's 9.775 followed close behind by Libby Allen and Abby Royer at 9.750. Hanna Zebdi and Angelina Stanfa both scored a 9.676 to tie for eighth.

Southern is back in action on Monday, Feb. 17 when it travels to Brookville, N.Y. to compete a tri-meet with Long Island University and University of Bridgeport.
