Patrice Mansfield and Hannah Caiola Record Top Times in NE10 at Yale's Giegengack Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Women's Indoor Track & Field standouts Patrice Mansfield and Hannah Caiola recorded top times in the Northeast-10 Conference in the 60m Hurdles and 200m Dash at Yale's Giegengack Invitational. The Owls recorded six personal bests at the meet.

TRACK
Patrice Mansfield placed 2nd in the 60m Hurdles with a personal-best time of 8.71, destroying her previous best of 8.88. That time is the best in the NE10 this season and ties the 25th-best in all of Division II. Ginny Mullen finished in 19th with a time of 9.42 (11th in NE10), and Isabella Sorrentino placed 21st with a time of 9.53 (12th in NE10). Joelle Budz and Johniece Jones were back-to-back finishers in 23rd and 24th with times of 9.85 and 9.98 respectively.

In the 60m Dash, Dardielle Exantus led the Owls with a 19th place finish, running a personal-best 7.95. Mackenzie Glenn followed in 28th with a time of 8.01, also a PR, and Patrice Mansfield rounded out the pack in 32nd at 8.07.

In the Mile, Abigail Bajorek placed 20th with a time of 5:21.93. That time is a new personal best for Bajorek and ranks ninth in the NE10.

Avery Winters placed fourth in the 400m, running a time of 58.34. That time would rank fourth in the conference. Megan Swan placed eighth at 59.76. Cali Beebe recorded a personal best time of 1:00.79, placing 13th, and Lindsay Drozd placed 17th at 1:02.54, also a personal best. Brianna Cole finished in 19th at 1:02.96.

Hannah Caiola won the 200m with a time of 24.56, which is the top time in the NE10 this season. That also ties the 35th-best time in all of Division II. Caiola now boasts the top time in the conference in
the 200m, 300m, 400m, 500m, and 4x400m Relay.

Dardielle Exantus placed 27th in the 200m, running 26.71, and Joelle Budz placed 30th with a time of 26.94. Cali Beebe placed 33rd at 27.33, a personal best.

The Owls' 4x400m Relay team of Beebe, Budz, Swan, and Drozd placed fifth with a time of 4:09.37. That time ranks fifth in the NE10.

FIELD
In the Shot Put, Belle Smith led the Owls with a sixth-place finish, throwing 12.82m (42' 0.75"). Darla Jagrosse placed 10th with a personal-best throw of 12.09m (39' 8"), and Kayla Johnson followed in 11th, throwing 11.79m (38' 8.25"), also a new personal-best.

Belle Smith was also the top Owl in the Weight Throw, placing ninth with a throw of 15.46m (50' 8.75"). That throw ranks third in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Maddie Hathorn placed ninth in the Pole Vault. She cleared 3.20m (10' 6"), which is the second-best mark in the NE10 behind Hathorn's own height of 3.30m. She has reached or cleared 3.20m in every meet this season. The next closest mark in the conference is 3.01m.

In the Long Jump, Mackenzie Glenn placed fifth, leaping 5.49m (18' 0.25").

Johniece Jones placed 16th in the High Jump, clearing 1.45m (4' 9")

The Owls will attempt to defend their title at the 2025 Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend on Saturday, February 22nd and Sunday, February 23rd.
