BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Southern Connecticut women's gymnastics finished fourth in the Bridgeport Quad Meet with a score of 190.650, in their last meet before the Gymnastics East Conference Championships next weekend. Brown came in first place with a score of 194.275, Bridgeport finished in second place with a score of 194.000 and William & Mary finished in third place with a score of 192.150.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Abby Royer had the highest score in the Floor Exercise for the Owls with a 9.700 in a tie for 10
th place. Both
Ava Kelly and
Erica Beyer had a score of 9.650 in a tie for 12
th place.
Sidney Wilson scored a 9.525.
VAULT
Kylie Sitty was the highest Owls scorer with a 9.750 and tied for third place overall on the Vault. Wilson had a score of 9.700 and finished in seventh place overall, while
Brianna Dorr recorded a 9.675 in a tie for eighth place,
Lexi Bracher had a score of 9.625, Kelly scored a 9.575 and
Hanna Zebdi had a 9.525. In exhibition,
Haley Fitzgerald had a score of 9.550.
UNEVEN BARS
Grace Christensen recorded a score of 9.450 for the Owls on the Uneven Bars.
BALANCE BEAM
Mia Damiano and
Angel Lee had a team-best score of 9.650 on the Balance Beam, as they came in a tie for 10
th place.
Angelina Stanfa had a score of 9.575 while
Gabriela Dinisoe had a score of 9.550 for the Owls.
Southern Connecticut will return to action in the Gymnastics East Conference Championships, hosted by University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, March 22.
