SCSU Baseball Falls To New Haven, 4-2

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut baseball lost to University of New Haven, 4-2, in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Frank Veira Field in West Haven, Conn. With the loss, the Owls dropped to 13-6 and 3-2 in the NE10 while New Haven improved to 14-4 and 4-1 in conference play. 
 
Spencer Chard was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer that broke up a scoreless game in the 5th inning. Derrick Jagello singled to left before Chard connected for his second home run of the season.
 
Chad Fedeli took the loss despite throwing five scoreless innings before New Haven scraped together four runs to come from behind.  Harry Roy gave up a run over 1 2/3 while Jaylen Cruz pitched a scoreless 1/3 of an inning.
 
Southern is back in action this weekend when it hosts Post on Saturday, March 29 for a 12 p.m. doubleheader at The Ballpark at SCSU.
