NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament Selection Show Set For Sunday, March 9 at 10:30 PM EST

The 2025 NCAA Division II women's basketball championship field will be revealed on Sunday, March 9 during the NCAA.com selection show starting with the women's at 10:30 p.m. EST.

Eight teams in each of the eight regions will earn a berth to the 64-team NCAA Division II women's and men's basketball tournaments. Southern Connecticut was ranked 4th in the last NCAA East Region poll on Sunday, March 3.

Southern will look to make its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2018 when it held the No. 8 seed. Selection to this year's tournament would be the Owls' eight appearance. Southern advanced to the NCAA Final Four in 1983, but it would be 20 years before making the NCAA Tournament again. Southern appeared in the 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 tournaments – advancing to the Sweet Sixteen in 2006 and winning the National Championship in 2007. Southern also made it in 2012 and 2018.
