SCSU Women's Soccer Drops Defensive Battle to Jefferson, Aughe Records 100 Career Saves

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer came up short against Jefferson, 1-0 in a non-conference matchup. They drop to 1-2-1 on the season.

It was a defensive battle, with both teams held off the board for almost the entirety of the match. An early goal by Jefferson would be the difference maker, giving the Rams the 1-0 win.

Abby Aughe tallied two saves in net, giving her 100 career saves in three seasons with the Owls.The Springfield, Pa. native completed the feat in her home state.

Nicky Deslauriers, Shelby Green, and Jaime Gonzalez each recorded a shot, with Deslauriers the only one on net.

The Owls stay on the road for their next game on Saturday, September 20th when they travel to Manchester to take on Southern New Hampshire.
