Diego Flores Named NE10 Rookie Of The Week

NEW HAVEN, CONN.-- Southern Connecticut rookie goalkeeper standout Diego Flores was named the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie Of The Week for week four, as announced by the NE10 on Monday Sept. 29. This is Flores' first Rookie of the Week recognition in his career.
 
Flores continued to build on his already strong season in a successful week of matches, pitching shut outs against both Pace university and Assumption university for the Owls' first two wins of the season.
 
Coming off a ten save performance last week against Southern New Hampshire, Flores tallied three saves across two games this week for the Owls. Flores' rookie campaign has featured 20 saves and two shutouts, which ranks 5th in the Northeast 10.
 
Southern men's soccer is back in action Tuesday Sept. 30 when they host Caldwell University at 6 PM at Jess Dow Field.
