NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut women's basketball standout Tish Blackwood was named Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for Week 15, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, March 2, 2026. This is the seventh straight week that Blackwood has been named NE10 Rookie of the Week. This season, Blackwood is the only basketball player to have earned NE10 Rookie of the Week honors, for seven consecutive weeks. Additionally, she has been named NE10 Rookie of the Week, eight times overall, and leads the conference for the most Rookie of the Week honors earned by an individual student-athlete this season.

Tish Blackwood had 13 points, was 5-for-7 from the free-throw line, grabbed a team-best of eight rebounds and had a team-best of five assists, in the 61-40 regular season finale victory over the Ravens.

Southern Connecticut women's basketball will face no. 6 seed, Southern New Hampshire in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship Semifinals, presented by Visit Central Florida, at 5:30 pm on Thursday, March 5 in the James Moore Field House.
