Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

As a Freshman in the 2010-11 season:
Placed seventh in the weight throw at the Lidifter Invitational with a toss of 11.91 meters…Finished 20th in the shot put at the Yale Season Opener with a toss of 9.16 meters…Also took 20th place in the weight throw with a distance of 10.41 meters…At the Giegengack Invitational, secured 10th place in the weight throw with a toss of 12.27 meters…Took 12th place in the weight throw at the Northeast-10 Track and Field Indoor Championship with a toss of 10.57 meters…Finished ninth in the shot put at the Northeast-10 Championships with a toss of 10.18 meters…Also placed fifth in the javelin throw (35.57 meters).

Before Southern Connecticut State University:
Was a part of the Pilgrim track and field team...All-State as a senior in outdoor throwing…Took first place in javelin at state meet senior year and third place in shot put… Was All-Division for indoor as a senior…Team captain as a senior…Also participated in softball and volleyball.

Personal:
Daughter of Kimberly and Alan Dowding…Born in Warwick, R.I… Plans to major in physics.
