Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Kate Hoffman (Orange, Conn.) of the softball team and sophomore Cole Bryant (Newington, Conn.) of the baseball team have been named as the Southern Connecticut State University Athletes of the Week.

Hoffman, who was also named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week earlier today, batted .600 (9-for-15) with two runs batted in during a 5-0 week.

Bryant, also named the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll earlier today, threw eight shutout innings for the Owls, allowing four hits and striking out seven in a win over Bentley on Sunday.
