BOCA RATON, Fla. –The No. 13 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University baseball team defeated Nyack College today, 14-0. Chris Zbin (Colchester, Conn.) was awarded the win, going seven innings, giving up no runs on three hits while striking out 14. #T.K. Kiernan# (Wallingford, Conn.) saw his first two innings of his career at the end of the game. Kiernan held Nyack to only one hit in the final two innings.

The Owls saw offense from all the hitters today. First baseman Ryan Geffert (Plymouth, Pa.) put on a clinic, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, three runs scored and a home run on the day. Kyle Rosadino (Berwyn, Pa.) helped the Owls going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two triples. Kyle Cummings (Hamden, Conn.) and #T.J. Shea# (Hamden, Conn.) both went 2-for-3 on the day and combined for one RBI and two runs scored.

The Owls will return up north to play Northeast-10 Conference opponent AIC for a doubleheader Saturday, March 19 at noon.
