No. 10/18 Nationally Ranked Baseball Beats Nyack, 11-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -  The No. 10/18 nationally ranked baseball team beat up on Nyack College today, 11-1. Freshman Cole Bryant (Newington, Conn.) started for the Owls and was tabbed with the victory. Bryant pitched six innings, giving up five hits and striking out four. Tyler Repoli (Andover, Conn.) pitched the seventh and eighth innings and didn't allow a hit or a walk. Kevin Madera (Newington, Conn.) pitched the ninth and fanned three batters.

Bryan Dorsey (Cheshire, Conn.) led the offense, going 4-for-5 with a double, four RBI and a run scored. T.J. Shea (Hamden, Conn.) went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Michael Cleary (West Boylston, Mass.) batted 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and two RBI. Kyle Cummings (Hamden, Conn.), T.K. Kiernan (Wallingford, Conn.) and Peter Testa (Orange, Conn.) each collected a hit and two runs scored.

The Owls move to 12-3 on the season. They will be back in action Sunday, when they face Merrimack College in Boca Raton, Fla. The game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
