GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – A seventh inning homerun to tie the game and a bases loaded hit-by-pitch in the ninth helped Adelphi University upset the No. 8 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University baseball team today, 4-3. The Panthers didn't get onto the scoreboard until the bottom frame of the fifth with one run, then scored another in the sixth to make it a 3-2 game. Down 3-2 in the bottom half of the seventh, the Panthers lead off the inning with a solo homerun to tie the game.
