Box Score

NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. - For the second straight match, Tyler Naef (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) scored for the Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team. But unlike Tuesday night where the sophomore had the only goal of the match, Merrimack scored three straight second half goals to defeat the visiting Owls 3-1 on Friday night.

In the 39th minute, Naef deked around the Warriors' defense and put the ball into the right corner of an open net.  Markus Jacobsen (Oslo, Norway) and Mads Larsen (Trondheim, Norway) assisted on the goal for SCSU.

Junior goalkeeper Stephen Sasso (Orange, Conn.) had six saves for Southern, which was outshot 22-11 for the match.

The Owls, now 2-2-1, (2-1-1 NE-10), are back on the pitch October 2nd at home against Le Moyne.
