Hamler Goes Eight Innings in 2-0 Victory Over Molloy

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Jordan Hamler (Waterford, Conn.) spun eight shutout innings in his first collegiate game as the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team defeated Molloy, 2-0. The freshman allowed six hits and struck out six to earn his first NCAA win.

T.K. Kiernan (Wallingford, Conn.) came over from the hot corner to shut the door on the win.

The Owls got on the board in the fourth on back-to-back triples by Joe Breen (Nashua, N.H.) and Jake Paul (Kingston, N.Y.).

Southern Connecticut added an insurance run in the top of the ninth when T.J. Shea (Hamden, Conn.) scored on an error.

The Owls, now 2-2-1 on the year, revisit Florida to face Pitt-Johnstown on Friday.
