In the fifth, Pace strung some hits together off SCSU starter
Rocco Cundari (Norwalk, Conn.) to take a 2-1 lead.
The visitors tied the Northeast-10 Conference game in the eighth when Kiernan, who went 3-for-5 today, scored on a Setters' misplay on the throw home.
Cundari scattered seven hits over eight innings. The senior gave up two runs and struck out five.
Mike Yerina (Trumbull, Conn.) pitched two innings of relief to earn the win (4-1). The sophomore allowed two hits and struck out two.
The Owls, 22-14-1, play a doubleheader with Pace tomorrow. Game one is set for 12:00p.m.
