Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – The Southern Connecticut State University softball team dropped both games of its season opening doubleheader against Dominican. The Owls lost game 1 4-1 and game 2 2-0.  Giuliana D'Arcangelo (Brookfield, Conn.) hit a home run for Southern in game 1.
 
With the losses, the Owls begin their season 0-2 while Dominican improves to 4-6. Southern Connecticut will travel to Clermont, Florida this week where they will play nine games in six days as part of the team's annual Spring Trip.
