BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Southern Connecticut State University football team lost a 52-35 decision to LIU-Post on Saturday afternoon.

LOOKING AT THE NUMBERS:
- Quarterback
Raymond Catapano (Franklin Square, N.Y.) completed 21-of-37 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns, without an interception.
- Running back
Eli Parks (Bristol, Conn.) rushed for 143 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown.
- Wide receiver
Isaiah Dockett (Bloomfield, N.J.) broke the 100-yard mark for the second game in a row with six catches for 111 yards.
- Wide receiver
Paris Crawford (Bayonne, N.J.) and tight end
Ryne Griesenauer (Naugatuck, Conn.) each had three catches, one of which was a touchdown.
Earl Myers (Uniondale, N.Y.) also had three receptions.

Mike Howell (Milford, Conn.) and
Sa'id Boykin (Bloomfield, N.J.) each notched their first collegiate touchdowns in the game.

Michael Cerisano (Newburgh, N.Y.) had 10 tackles to lead the defense and moved into fifth place in SCSU career history in tackles.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The teams traded first quarter touchdowns (Parks scored from 25 yards out for the Owls) before LIU scored 21 take points. Catapano found Crawford for a 30-yard touchdown in the closing seconds of the first half to make it 28-14 at the break.
- The Pioneers extended their lead to 35-14 early in the third quarter before touchdown passes from Catapano to Howell and Catapano to Griesenauer trimmed the deficit to just a touchdown.
- However, from there, the hosts scored 17 of the final 24 points in a 52-35 final.
