NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In arguably its finest all-around effort of the year, the Southern Connecticut State University football team capped the 2017 season with its fourth win in a row, a 34-0 shutout of Pace on Senior Day.

THE KEY STATS:
- Southern's defense held Pace to just 82 yards of total offense, an 0-for-12 showing on third down, and added two interceptions.
- The shutout was the first for the Owls since the 2011 season, when it blanked Pace by a 61-0 final.
- Senior quarterback
Raymond Catapano (Franklin Square, N.Y.) finished 12-of-18 through the air for 255 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed eight times for 34 yards and another score.
- Fellow classmate
Shaquan Hall (Newark, N.J.) posted six receptions for a career-high 128 yards and a score. Senior
Isaiah Dockett (Bloomfield, N.J.) added four catches for 68 yards and a score.

Michael Cerisano (Newburgh, N.Y.) had 12 tackles to lead the defense, while
John Strezo (Arlington, Mass.) added a pair of sacks.
- In total, the Owls honored 16 seniors prior to today's win.
