LANTANA, Fla. - The Southern Connecticut State University baseball team swept their outings today in the Sunshine state today with wins over American International College, 7-3, and then later in the day with a win over Merrimack College, 5-1.

Game 1 vs. AIC
Senior
Greg Zullo (Branford, Conn.) continued to stay hot going 2-for-4 in the opening contest with four RBI and one run scored. Zullo blasted an RBI triple in the bottom of the fifth inning driving in
Nick Lamberti (East Haven, Conn.) and
Tyler Criscuolo (Branford, Conn.) to give the Owls a 6-2 lead.
Connor Redahan (Greenwich, Conn.) also collected two hits, one RBI, and one run scored.
Junior
Griffin Bremer (Higganum, Conn.) earned the win, pitching seven complete innings, allowing six hits and striking out six.
Quantique White (New London, Conn.) stepped to the mound in the eighth inning to close out the game and help the Owls capture the first win of the day.
Game 2 vs. Merrimack
The Owls offense stayed hot in the second half of the day. Zullo delivered in game 2 with two hits and two RBI. He had an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning, which allowed Lamberti and Criscuolo to score putting the Owls on top over Merrimack, 5-1. Lamberti added to the offense collecting three hits and scoring one run, while
Mike DeMartino (New Haven, Conn.) added a hit and one run to top the Warriors.
Senior
Cole Bryant (Naugatuck, Conn.) pitched eight complete innings to earn his fourth win of the season. White took the mound for the second time today; pitching one inning securing the victory.
