HOW IT HAPPENED:
Adelphi scored a single run in the third and added two more in the fifth and was on the cusp of a win until a stirring Owls' comeback.
Tyler Criscuolo (Branford, Conn.) opened the ninth inning with a single and moved up to second on a single from Zullo. After a fielders' choice, Redahan singled to load the bases.
DeMartino followed with a two-run single to get the Owls within one, 3-2. Kaplan then singled to reload the bases before Garabedian delivered a RBI double that plated the eventual game-winning run. One out later, Lamberti tripled to drive in two more and cap the six-run frame.
Jake Santamaria (Oceanside, N.Y.) worked out of an eighth inning jam and set the side down in order in the ninth to pick up the victory. He faced six batters, striking out one and allowing just one hit.
