GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Southern Connecticut State University softball team lost two against Adelphi in today's doubleheader.

BryAnna McIntosh went 3-for-7 and recorded two runs with one RBI to lead the Owls. Senior
Zoe Fanolis (Hamden, Conn.) notched one RBI and went 2-for-5 in the doubleheader against Adelphi.

The Panthers scored two in the second to give them a 2-0 lead. Defense dominated the game as the Owls were shutout for the first five innings but would break the shutout in the sixth inning off of an RBI single from Fanolis to left field to score McIntosh. The rally ended there for a final score of 2-1.
Game 2
Both teams came out firing as the Owls scored three runs in the first off hits from McIntosh, junior
Victoria Ceballos (Bridgeport, Conn.) and senior
Lauren Yaffa (Manchester, Conn.) to bring in freshman
Sara Buscetto (Waterford, Conn.), McIntosh and Ceballos. Adelphi would respond with two of their own in the first to make the score 3-2. The Owls would score one run in the fourth to make the score 4-3 but the Panthers would score two in the fifth to seal the win.
