Jodi DiSanto (Bristol, Conn.) led the Owls today she went 1-for-3, with one run and an RBI. Senior
Zoe Fanolis (Hamden, Conn.) went 1-for-3 and scored the game winning run.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Yellow Jackets scored the first run in the bottom of the third inning, 1-0. The Owls would respond in the top of the fourth with a DiSanto homerun down the left field line to tie the game at one all. The Owls would break the tied in the top of the seventh where Southern had Fanolis on third as senior
Lauren Yaffa (Manchester, Conn.) came up to bat to hit a single advanced to second on a field error, Fanolis would score on the throw to give the Owls a 2-1 lead. That would prove to be the game winner as senior
Yesenia Evaristo (Bethel, Conn.) pitched the complete game and struck out six to give the Owls the win.
