BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Southern Connecticut State University baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Post University today.

RECORDS: SCSU (7-4) | POST (7-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern struck first scoring one run in the second inning. Mike Giordano (Norwalk, Conn.) singled, allowing Robert Schryver (Ansonia, Conn.) to score and give the Owls a 1-0 lead. 
- Post took the lead in the bottom of the third after scoring two runs for a 2-1 lead.
- After four scoreless innings the Eagles put one more on the board to stretch their lead, 3-1. The Owls had a late surge led by Connor Redahan (Greenwich, Conn.) who singled and brought in John Spoto (Stamford, Conn.) to cut the Eagles lead down to one in the ninth at 3-2. SCSU was unable to score another run as the Eagles held for the 3-2 win.

UP NEXT
The Owls will face Post University for a second time tomorrow March 11, with the game set to start at 3 p.m.
