ON THE ROAD
The Southern Connecticut State University softball squad finished with a 3-1 record last week and heads on the road for two doubleheaders this week. First, the Owls head to Garden City, N.Y. to face division opponent Adelphi on March 27, with the games set to begin at 2 p.m. Next, the Owls play a doubleheader matchup against St. Thomas Aquinas on March 29, with the first game set to start at 2:30 p.m.
  
ALL-TIME VS. ADELPHI
The Panthers hold the all-time series lead against the Owls, 35-22.
 
ALL-TIME VS. STAC
The all-time series between these two teams is tied, 2-2.

GET JAZZY WITH IT
Freshman Jazmyn Martinez recorded the first two wins of her collegiate career last weekend against Bentley University and Stonehill College.

QUARTET OF OWLS COLLECTS NE10 WEEKLY HONORS
Senior Jaime Conklin, sophomore Sara Buscetto, junior Delany Turner and freshman Jazmyn Martinez of the Southern Connecticut State University softball team were named to the NE10 weekly honor roll on Monday for their play in the Owls' doubleheaders against Bentley and Stonehill.

KEEP'EM COMIN' CONKLIN
Redshirt senior Jaime Conklin has enjoyed a nice start to the 2018 season. She is currently fourth in the NE10 in batting average at .432.

MCINTOSH NAMED TO WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Senior Bryanna McIntosh was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll on March 13 for her play in the Owls' season-opening doubleheader on March 12.

A BALANCED ATTACK...PART ONE
Coming into the week, Sara Buscetto has 12 RBI to lead the team in that department.  Bryanna McIntosh and Delany Turner are second with nine.

A BALANCED ATTACK...PART TWO
Coming into the week, the Owls have five starters batting at least .313 or better on the year.

VICTORI-OUS
Senior Victoria Ceballos had a strong start in the circle during the Owls' trip to Florida, including two wins and a shutout against Minnesota-Crookston.

IN THE NE10 PRESEASON RANKINGS
The Southern Connecticut State University softball team was selected to finish seventh in the Southwest Division of the NE10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
LOOKING BACK AT LAST SEASON
The Southern Connecticut State University softball team finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 8-27. 

CONKLIN, CEBALLOS TABBED 2018 CAPTAINS      
Head coach Jillian Rispoli has announced that redshirt senior Jaime Conklin and senior Victoria Ceballos will serve as team captains for the 2018 season.

Southern Connecticut returns 10 players from last year's squad - Heather Jackson, Jaime Conklin, Victoria Ceballos, BryAnna McIntosh, Maria Zecena, Sara Buscetto, Delany Turner, Madison Feshler, Julia Lener and Jordan McHale.

Southern Connecticut welcomes Jazmyn Martinez, Cailey Botteon, Emily Borysewicz, Caitlyn Parisi, Jayden Delaporta, Kailey Westington and Lauryn Zubia to the squad this year.
 
EXCELLING IN THE CLASSROOM
Southern Connecticut had 11 student-athletes selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their work in the classroom during the fall, 2017 semester.
