KINGSTON, R.I. - The Southern Connecticut State women's indoor track & field team completed competition at the University of Rhode Sorlein Invitational, which featured Assumption, Brown, UConn, Quinnipiac, Rhode Island, UMass and Stonehill.
Track Event Highlights
- In the 200 Meters, Nasharie Davis (Middletown, Conn.) was the Owls' top finisher in 14th place with a time of 27.24.
- In the 800 Meters, Elizabeth Gray (Pawcatuck, Conn.) was 14th with a time of 2:29.21.
- In the Mile run, Meghan Delaney (Old Saybrook, Conn.) finished 19th with a time of 5:40.94 while Emilie Noreika (Prospect, Conn.) was 21st at 5:49.70.
- Christine Gubetta (Winsted, Conn.) finished 10th in the 3,000 Meters with a time of 11:34.12.
- In the 4x400 Meter Relay, Mikayla Mancini (Clinton, Conn.), Amari Bell (Hartford, Conn.), Bonita Alisa (Stratford, Conn.) and Gray finished ninth at 4:14.19.
Field Event Highlights
- Elaina DiSalvo (Lake Grove, N.Y.) finished second out of 12 competitors with a height of 11'1.75".
- Caylea Landrie (Danbury, Conn.) finished seventh in the Long Jump with a distance of 17'0.5" in an event comprised of 22 competitors.
- Mancini finished 12th in the event at 16'6.5", followed by Shayna Smith () at 16'3.75".
- Rachel Fleischer (Derby, Conn.) finished in seventh place in the Triple Jump with a distance of 35'4 while Landrie was 13th at 34'2.75".
- In the Weight Throw, Erin McKee (Brookfield, Conn.) finished second with a distance of 54'8" while Aalayjhia Cobb (New Haven, Conn.) reached 52'6.5" for fourth place.
