ALL-TIME AGAINST BENTLEY
  • Saturday's matchup will be the 22nd meeting between the Owls and Falcons, all-time, with Bentley hosting a 13-8 edge historically.
  • The Owls took a 24-22 loss in last season's matchup after winning back-to-back games against the Falcons in 2016 and 2017.
THE OWLS' LAST TIME OUT
  • Southern heads into this weekend after rolling to a 55-27 win against Franklin Pierce at home.
  • As a team, Southern's 55 points against Franklin Pierce are its most in a single game since a 61-0 win against Pace on Sept. 23, 2011.
  • Jonmichael Bivona led the Owls with three rushing touchdowns on a day when Southern featured nine different players rush the football. Bivona posted 77 yards on 15 carries with a career-best three touchdowns while Jordan Knight and Octovio Thomas also had a touchdown apiece.
  • Bivona's first quarter touchdown was the first of his career. He also becomes the first Owl since Eli Parks last season to rush for three touchdowns in a game.
  • Julian Chung accumulated 131 yards in the air on five catches, two of which went for touchdowns, while Izaiah Sanders had seven catches for 117 yards.
  • Chung's two touchdowns were his first points of the season. Following a break-out, and record-breaking, performance against American International last week, Chung has totaled 267 yards on 17 catches over his last two games.
  • Chung and Sanders become the first Owls' receivers to total 100-plus receiving yards in the same game since Andre Privott and Willie Epps did it against American International in a 48-47 win on Oct. 22, 2011. The last time two receivers did it at Jess Dow Field was Sept. 11, 2010 against West Liberty when Privott and Epps accomplished the feat.
  • Freshman quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky was 14-for-22 for 267 yards with two touchdown passes.
  • Ostrowsky is now 41-for-70 (58.5%) for 549 yards with four touchdowns in two starts under center to his collegiate career.
  • Defensively, senior captain Matthew Weiss was a mainstay in the Franklin Pierce backfield as he record two of the Owls' four sacks while also registering four addition QB hurries.
  • Weiss blocked a point-after attempt late in the game.
  • Charles Ritchel and Anton Juncaj both tallied seven tackles each while Vance Upham had a sack and an interception.
  • Kyle Armour also picked off a ball in the Owls' end zone to deny the Ravens of an early scoring opportunity.
  • Jaylynn Cundiff was the Owls' do-everything guy on the field, posting a 22-yard run, two catches for 39 yards while also returning two kicks for 43 yards to give him 104 all-purpose yards for the afternoon.
