Southern Connecticut State University football hosts Pace for Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2:30 PM at Jess Dow Field. Prior to the start of the Owls' tilt against Pace, SCSU Football will recognize Kyle Armour, Mike Howell, Sidney Jones, Matt Sanzaro, Brandon Swain-Price, Miles Thomas, Matthew Weiss and John Wells as part of Senior Day.

Southern is coming off a bye week and enter the weekend with a record of 2-7 overall and 2-5 in the NE10 while Pace is currently 5-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play and are coming off a 34-22 loss to Stonehill on Saturday, Nov. 9.

ALL-TIME AGAINST PACE
  • Saturday's game between SCSU and Pace will be the 27th meeting all-time.
  • The Owls own a 23-3 record all-time against the Setters, including wins in the first 20 meetings before Pace picked up a 10-7 win in their second meeting of the 2014 season.
  • The Setters have won the last two meetings between the two teams.  
  • Pace and Southern Connecticut met earlier this season in a non-conference game in Pleasantville, N.Y. on Sept. 13. Pace won that game, 31-14.
 
NOTES
  • Freshman quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky has passed for 1,943 yards on 134-of-239 (56.1%) passing and 14 touchdowns, with a quarterback efficiency rating of 141.2.
  • Ostrowsky's total yardage ranks second in the conference, despite playing three former games than Bentley's Stephen Sturm.
  • Ostrowsky's 14 touchdown passes are tied for third in the conference, trailing Pace's Carlton Aiken (17), Stonehill's Anton Stoneking (15) and tied with Saint Anselm's Eric Fairweather.
  • Ostrowsky is averaging a Northeast 10-high 323.8 passing yards per game while his 141.2 QB Efficiency rating is second to Stonehill's Stoneking.
  • Ostrowsky now has 14 touchdown passes, in six games, for the year, which are the most in a single season since Robert Nittolo passed for 19 in 2015.
  • Ostrowsky is also the only SCSU quarterback with two 400-yard passing games in the same season, doing so against Saint Anselm and Bentley.
  • Brandon Swain-Price currently leads the Owls in catches (43), yards (706), yards per game (88.25) and touchdowns (8).
  • Swain-Price is one of five receivers in the conference to record 40 receptions for the year.
  • His 706 receiving yards and 88.3 yards-per-game stand third in the conference while his 16.4 yards per catch are second to teammate Izaiah Sanders' 17.6 yards per catch.
  • Swain-Price's eight touchdowns are tied for second in the NE10.
  • Swain-Price has now posted 100-yard receiving performances in three of his last four games played, with a touchdown catch in four of his last six.
  • Mehki Barnett leads the Owls with 45 tackles, Rich Souffrant sits second with 43 and ranks sixth in the conference in sacks with six, including 3.5 in his last three games.
  • Souffrant also leads the team with 10.5 tackles for a loss and has added two quarterback hurries.
  • Navaughn Austin ranks sixth in the conference with two interceptions while Anton Juncaj ranks second in the conference with two forced fumbles.
  • Miles Thomas ranks fourth in the NE10 with eight pass breakups.
  • Matt Weiss has totaled 25 tackles and a team-high seven QB hurries to go with 4.5 sacks.
  • 19 of Vance Upham's 23 tackles have gone for a loss, while he also recorded three sacks, two interceptions, three quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery.
