A NEW SEASON BEGINS
The Southern Connecticut State University softball team will kick off the 2019 season with four games on the road in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where they'll face NE10 opponent, Le Moyne, West Virginia State University, Clarion University and Felician University. Once the Owls complete this tour in South Carolina, they will go on a hiatus until March 10 when they once again head south, this time to the Sunshine State for a handful of non-conference matchups.
 
ALL-TIME AGAINST LE MOYNE
Le Moyne holds the all-time series with Southern, 29-23. 

ALL-TIME AGAINST WEST VIRGINIA
This is the first outing between these two teams.
 
ALL-TIME AGAINST CLARION
This will be the first-ever meeting between the schools.
 
ALL-TIME AGAINST FELICIAN
Southern Connecticut holds the all-time series with Felician, 3-0.
 
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Sara Buscetto - Led the team in hits (39), runs scored (29), RBI (20) and stolen bases (13)
Jazmyn Martinez - Led the team in games started (19), wins (6), complete games (11), innings pitched (127.1) and strikeouts (78).
 
FESHLER, BUSCETTO TABBED AS 2019 CAPTAINS
Senior Madison Feshler (Middletown, Conn.) and junior Sara Buscetto (Waterford, Conn.) have been chosen to lead the 2019 softball squad, as announced by head coach Jillian Rispoli.
 
IN THE NE10 PRESEASON RANKINGS
The Southern Connecticut State University softball team has been selected to finish fifth in the Southwest Division of the NE10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
LOOKING BACK AT LAST SEASON

The Southern Connecticut State University softball team finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 11-31.

Southern Connecticut returns 10 players from last year's squad – Jazmyn Martinez, Maria Zeceña, Cailey Botteon, Sara Buscetto, Jayden Delaporta, Kailey Westington, Lauryn Zubia, Delany Turner, Madison Feshler and Julia Lener.
