Brianna Pearson Named to NE10 Faces in the Crowd

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut softball standout Brianna Pearson was named to the Northeast 10 Conference Faces in the Crowd for Week four, as announced by the NE10 on Wednesday April 1. This is the first Faces in the Crowd recognition for Pearson as an Owl.
 
Brianna Pearson showed out for the Owls this past week, with eight hits, six runs scored and four RBI. Pearson had a historical performance against Saint Anselm on Sunday March 29. In the final game of the Owls four game set against the Hawks, Pearson went 5-5 with four RBI. This was the first five hit game in the history of the Owls softball program.
 
So far this season, Pearson is hitting .375 with 24 hits, a team leading seven doubles and 13 RBI. Also, Pearson is tied for the team lead in walks with 11 and home runs with one.
 
Southern Connecticut is back in action on Friday April third as they travel to Rindge, N.H. to take on Franklin Pierce University, who is unbeaten in conference play, in a NE10 conference doubleheader. The Owls return home on April 11 for a pair of NE10 games against Saint Michael's College starting at 2:30 PM at the Pelz Field.
