Ticket, Tailgating Spots On Sale For SCSU Football's Home Opener On Saturday, Sept. 9

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut football will host Assumption on Saturday, Sept. 9 for the Owls' home opener at Jess Dow Field at 12 p.m. Tickets are now available, and can be purchased online by visiting scsuowls.com/tickets.  In addition, fans can reserve tailgating spots in the Wintergreen parking lot by visiting scsuowls.com/purchasetailgate

ADMISSION IS FREE FOR ALL SCSU STUDENTS WITH A SCSU ID. 

Tickets for adults are $10 while Seniors and children are $7. Tailgating spots are $25. 

All proceeds from tailgate spot purchases go directly to the SCSU Athletics student-athlete experience as well as the Southern Connecticut Food Pantry.
 
Fans must purchase tickets through Touchnet Marketplace and are urged to reserve their spot prior to the day of the game, as no cash will be accepted for the purchase of tailgating spots. Fans can visit SCSUOwls.com/PURCHASETAILGATE or visit the "Purchase Tailgate Spot" under "Fan Central" on SCSUOwls.com. Southern fans are urged to act fast, as spots are limited.
 
Tailing Protocols
  • Tailgating lot would open three (3) hours prior to kickoff.
  • Due to safety, all patrons who purchased a tailgating space will be required to enter the lot no less than 90 minutes prior to kickoff. If you arrive after the 90-minute cut off, you will be permitted to walk their tailgating materials to the space and park elsewhere.
  • The university reserves the right to close down any tailgating area and to dismiss any person from the premises for violations of this policy or when it determines is required for public safety purposes.
Legal Restrictions 
  • Attendees are expected to obey all laws and may face arrest and prosecution if the law is violated.
  • The legal age for possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages in Connecticut is 21.
  • It is illegal to provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. Policy Restrictions Violators of the policy restrictions outlined below will be asked to cease the behavior or leave the event. Those that persist may be subject to arrest and/or campus discipline.
  • Anyone in possession of or consuming alcoholic beverages must produce a valid ID to Police or University Staff when requested.
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages on any other part of the campus or on public streets that run through or adjacent to campus is prohibited.
  • Kegs and glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • The sale of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
  • Drinking games (included but not limited to beer pong), and the use of devices intended to accelerate the consumption of alcohol (including but not limited to funnels or beer bongs) are prohibited.
  • Loud, abusive language and behavior that prevent others from enjoying tailgating is prohibited.
  • No solicitation of any kind is allowed. This includes banners, raffles, or the selling of any products (food, drink, apparel, souvenirs) without written permission from SCSU.
  • Food and beverage may not be brought into Jess Dow Field.
  • Charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Use of propane grills are permitted with safety as the highest priority.
