SCSU Field Hockey & Women's Soccer To Host Breast Cancer Awareness Day on Tuesday, Oct. 15

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut field hockey and women's soccer will team up for Breast Cancer Awareness Day on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The day will feature a twin-bill starting with SCSU Field Hockey against St. Thomas Aquinas at 4 p.m. and SCSU Women's Soccer against Jefferson at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.  

Field hockey will be participating in its annual "Play4TheCure" game to benefit the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Following the Owls' tilt against STAC, fans who donate earn a chance to attempt to score a goal on one of the Owls' goalkeepers for additional prizes.

Women's soccer is also raising money to benefit the National Federation of Cancer Research. In addition to the fundraiser, SCSU Blue Crew will host Tacos Santa Ines food truck to give away from food.
