Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

SCSU Women's Soccer falls to SNHU 1-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer dropped a close match against Southern New Hampshire University 1-0. The Owls drop to 3-4-1 on the season.

It was a very defensive battle between both teams, with both teams only able to get off 10 shots, with both getting four on goal. SNHU broke the scoreless tie in the 60th minute when Ava Jakich-Kunze scored on a header from a corner. The Owls' best chance came soon after that when Alexie Rosado attempted to send home a free kick from Mimmi Bauréus, but her shot was blocked.

Owls goalkeeper Kaelen Fabry recorded a highlight save in the first half, diving to her left to deflect a shot. She ended the day with three saves.

The Owls return on Wednesday, October 9th to take on American International College at 7:00 p.m. on Jess Dow Field.
