SCSU Women's Soccer tops AIC 2-0

Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer defeated American International 2-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup. The Owls improved to 4-4-2 on the year, 1-2-1 in conference play. 

Southern's leading goal scorer Sydney Myers struck first in the 10th minute. She put home a rebound off a shot from Nicky Deslauriers, picking up her sixth tally of the year. Deslauriers collected her team-leading third assist on the score. 

The score remained 1-0 until the 54th minute when Freshman Emma Noheimer scored off a corner. The score marks the first of Noheimer's career with the Owls, and put the Owls ahead 2-0, which would remain the final score. 

Senior goalkeeper Kaelen Fabry was phenomenal in net. She tallied nine saves, her highest total of the season. She has only allowed more than one goals twice in nine games this year. 



The Owls return this Saturday when they travel north the take on Saint Anselm at noon.
