SCSU Women's Soccer Draws Against New Haven 4-4

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer drew against New Haven 4-4 in their final regular season game.They finish the season with a 6-5-6 record, 1-4-5 in the Northeast-10. They will enter the NE10 playoffs as the eight seed, and will take on the one seed, Adelphi, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10th. 



The Owls started off hot on offense, scoring four straight in the first and second half. Shi Reeves scored first, putting home a rocket from the top of the 18-yard box. It was Reeves' third goal of the season, with Alexie Rosado picking up her fourth assist and Sydney Myers picking up her sixth. 

Myers scored the next two in the 42nd and 47th minutes, with the first coming off a beautiful feed from Caileigh Driscoll, who tallied her third assist. She fired in the second off her own rebound, ending her regular season with nine goals and six assists. She ranked first in both categories and points for the Owls, and tied for fourth in goals, third in assists, and third in points in the NE10. 

It was Mimmi Bauréus who struck next, finding the back on the net off a penalty shot drawn by Isabella LaPerle. It marked the first career goal for the freshman from Kullavik, Sweden. 

The Chargers did not let up after falling behind 4-0, scoring four consecutive in the final 25 minutes. They delivered the draw-clinching blow in the 89th minute off a free kick. 

Southern will begin postseason play on Sunday, November 10th as they travel to Adelphi to take on the one-seeded Panthers at 1:00 p.m.
