UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Southern Connecticut gymnastics posted an exciting first place finish with a season-high score of 194.150 in a close meet at the All-American Challenge at Mohegan Sun on Monday night. New Hampshire finished in second place with a score of 193.325, LIU finished in third place with a score of 192.025 and Yale came in fourth place with a score of 191.250.
Freshman
Gigi Mastellone recorded the highest score of the meet and had the first perfect 10.000 in school history on the Uneven Bars and finished in first place. In the floor exercise, junior
Libby Allen posted a career-best score of 9.900 and came in first place. On the vault, junior

Lexi Bracher all had a team-best score of 9.750, as they finished in a tie for fourth place. On the balance beam, freshman
Gabriela Dinisoe recorded a team-best and career-best score of 9.800, as she came in fourth place. The highest scoring event for the Owls, was floor exercise, where they recorded a total score of 48.900.
UNEVEN/PARALLEL BARS
Gigi Mastellone recorded the first perfect 10.000 in school history, as she came in first place and had the highest score of the meet. Senior
Jayci Jordan posted a score of 9.800, which matched her career-best as she finished tied for sixth place. Senior
Audrey Arnold had a score of 9.700 and came in 13
th place. Freshmen
Kylie Sitty and
Sophia Ruecker both recorded a score of 9.625 and finished tied in 14
th place. This was a career-best score for Sitty.
Gabriela Dinisoe posted a career-best score of 9.550 and came in 18
th place. The Owls had a total score of 48.750 on the uneven/parallel bars.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Libby Allen recorded a career-best score of 9.900 and came in first place. Junior
Erica Beyer finished tied for fourth place with a career-best score of 9.850. Junior
Alexa Melanson posted a score of 9.825 and came in a tie for sixth place.
Hanna Zebdi had a score of 9.725 and finished in 13
th place. Freshman
Sofia Delgado Cotto recorded a score of 9.600 and finished in 16
th place. The Owls had a total score of 48.900 in the floor exercise, which was their highest scoring event.
VAULT
Brianna Dorr,

Sophia Ruecker posted a score of 9.675 and finished in 10

BALANCE BEAM
Gabriela Dinisoe recorded a career-best score of 9.800 and came in fourth place.
Alexa Melanson had a score of 9.775 and came in a tie for sixth place.
Angel Lee finished in 10
th place with a score of 9.675.
Angelina Stanfa posted a score of 9.650 and finished in 11
th place. The Owls had a total score of 47.950 on the balance beam.
The Owls return to action on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Durham, N.H. in a Quad Meet against the University of New Hampshire, Fisk University and Rhode Island College.
