AUSTIN, Tx. – Southern Connecticut men's outdoor track & field standout
Jordan Davis broke the NCAA Division II National Record in the Javelin Throw at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
Davis, the 2022 NCAA Division II Javelin National Champions, had an all-time historical performance at The Texas Relays. First, he hit a mark of 80.36m to break the NCAA Division II Javelin Record. On his last throw, he beat his own previous mark with a 83.77 to win the event. The throw not only broke his own record from moments earlier, but it was also the top throw in the United States this year, the 4th-best in the world and the fifth-longest Javelin Throw in the history of NCAA Track & Field in all divisions. Davis has worked exclusively with former Owl standout Dan Labbadia, who has guided him to the 2022 title and today's record-breaking performance.
