NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer lost a close match 1-0 to Adelphi. The Owls drop to 2-2-1 on the season.Â
The lone goal of the game came in the 70th minute when Carly Issing squeezed a left-footed strike past a diving Kaelen Fabry into the bottom left of the net.Â
The Owls outshot the Panthers 18 (nine on goal) to 16 (five on goal), but were unable to find the back of the net.Â
The Owls celebrated senior day, and recognized the eight seniors on the team: Fabry, Abby Aughe, Laura Ryer, Katalina Mancinone Rivas, Kylee Slavik, Caileigh Driscoll, Victoria Vera, and Aries Bell.Â
Southern returns on Wednesday, September 25th at 4:00 PM to take on Post University at home.Â
