WORCESTER, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut women's swimming and diving team traveled to Assumption for their first meet of 2025. They bring home a win beating the Greyhounds 126-114.
 

200 Yard Medley Relay 

The Owls "A" 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Hailey Nyquist, Ally Quitos, Justice Glasgow, and Molly Kennedy won the event with a time of 1:52. 96. The "B" team of Zoe McNeill, Abby Lyons, Jasmine Uricchio, and Ella Marzec came in second with a time of 1:55.81.  

1650 Yard Freestyle 

Paola Castillo won the 1650 Free with a time of 18:39.55. Natalie Weier came in second with a time of 19:01.03 and Jordan Herman came in third with a time of 21:22.02. 

200 Yard Freestyle 

Winning the 200 Free was Lindsay McCawley in a time of 2:04.15. Emma St. Hilaire came in second with a time of 2:05.55 and Abbey Piech finished third with a time of 2:06.12.  

100 Yard Backstroke 

The top finisher for the Owls in the 100 Back was Ella Marzec who finished with a time of 1:01.95. Abby Lyons came in third with a time of 1:03.12. Zoe McNeill came in fifth with a time of 1:04.46.  

100 Yard Breaststroke 

Arianna Arturi won the 100 Breast with a time of 1:10.22. Ally Quitos came in third with a time of 1:13.29 and Aralyn Vogel finished fourth with a time of 1:13.56.  

200 Yard Butterfly 

In the 200 Fly, Julia Pitchell finished with a time of 2:16.26 to win the event. Justice Glasgow came in second with a time of 2:18.26 and Brooke Keeney finished third with a time of 2:18. 81.  

50 Yard Freestyle 

Molly Kennedy won the 50 Free with a time of 24.68. Reina Loiacano came in second with a time of 25.79 and Jasmine Uricchio came in fourth with a time of 26.66.  

100 Yard Freestyle 

The Owls finished with the top two times in the 100 Free, but were swimming in exhibition. Kennedy finished with a time of 54.38 and Uricchio finished with a time of 57.84. Hailey Nyquist finished with the third fastest time of 1:01.33.  

200 Yard Backstroke 

Loiacano won the event with a time of 2:18.17. Sierra DuCharme and Marzec swam in exhibition and had the fastest times in the race – 2:08.39 and 2:13.45, respectively.  

200 Yard Breaststroke 

St. Hilaire won the event with a time of 2:32.07. Lyons had the second fastest time at 2:33.29 while swimming in exhibition.  

500 Yard Freestyle  

Kali Dominguez won the 500 Free with a time of 5:25.24. McCawley swam in exhibition and had the fastest time for the event at 5:23.04.  

100 Yard Butterfly 

The Owls swam in exhibition but had the top three times in the 100 Fly. Pitchell had the top time at 1:00.90, McNeill was next at 1:05.06, and Nyquist had the third fastest time at 1:06.19.  

200 Yard Individual Medley 

Despite swimming in exhibition, the Owls had the top three fastest times in the 200 IM. Vogel had the fastest time, finishing at 2:17.15. Next was Kennedy at 2:19.47, and DuCharme at 2:24.77 

200 Yard Freestyle Relay 

The Owls were in exhibition but had the top time in the 200 Free Relay at 1:43.14 - the team consisted of Uricchio, Marzec, Loiacano, and Arturi.  
 

The Owls will travel back up to Massachusetts on Sunday, Jan. 19 to take on Bentley.
