SCSU Women's Indoor Track & Field Wins Three Events At UMass Flagship Invitational

Southern Connecticut State University women's track & field won three events and saw several strong performances at the 2025 UMass-Amherst Flagship Indoor Invitational.

Avery Winters won the 400 Dash with a personal-best time while Hannah Caiola took the 500 Run with a personal-best time. Kisha Francois also took home the win in the Long Jump. Patrice Mansfield and Kimberly Moran competed in two events each with solid outcomes.

60 Hurdles
Patrice Mansfield finished second in the 60 Hurdles with a career-best time of 8.88. Mansfield's previous-best mark of 9.05 came at the 2024 NE10 Indoor Championships.

1 Mile Run
Kimberly Moran finished fifth out of 25 runners in the mile with a time of 5:07.74.

400 Dash
Avery Winters won the 400 Dash by 00.02 ahead of a runner from NCAA Division I Providence with a time of 57.01. Winters' 57.01 beat her previous best of 57.40 at the 2023 NE10 Indoor Championships.

500 Run
Hannah Caiola led three runners in the top eight out of the field of 22 in the 500 Run. Caiola won the event with a time of 1:12.00 while Julia Mansfield was fifth at 1:18.74. Leticia DoNascimento finished eighth at 1:19.67. Caiolo crushed her previous best mark of 1:18.59 at the 2023 NEICAAA Indoor Championships.

800 Run
Abigail Bajorek and Erin Sola finished eighth and ninth, respectively, in the 800 run. Bajorek crossed at 2:26.46 followed by Sola at 2:27.20.

200 Dash
Patrice Mansfield had another strong performance with a 14^th place finish, out of 60, in the 200 Dash with a time of 25.98. Megan Swan was 20^th at 26.34 while Dardielle Exantus finished 24^th at 26.72.

3000 Run
Moran had another strong showing with an 11^th place finish, out of 35, in the 3000 Run. Moran posted a time of 10:15.10.

Field Events
Long Jump
Kisha Francois won the Long Jump event with a distance of 5.60m (18'4.5").

Southern is back in action on Friday, Jan. 31 when it travels to Boston, Mass. to compete in Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic.
