Henchcliffe, Geddes Sweep NE10 Weekly Awards for Third Straight Week

Southern Connecticut women's cross country standouts Courtney Henchcliffe and Rae Geddes were named the Northeast 10 Conference's Runner and Rookie of the Week for Week 3 of the 2025 season. It is the third straight week the two runners have taken home the honors, and the Owls have won every cross country weekly award this season.

Courtney Henchcliffe, a senior from Newtown, Conn., won her third-straight NE10 Runner of the Week after leading the Owls at the highly competitive Paul Short Run, finishing in 56th place with a time of 22:08.3. That time was her fastest 6k time this season, and is her second time cracking the 23-minute mark. Henchcliffe has now won the award four times in her Owls career.

Rae Geddes took home Rookie of the Week honors for the third consecutive week with a time of 23:45.5 at the Paul Short Run, good for 209th place. That time is the fastest of Geddes' short collegiate career.

The Owls compete in their final regular season meet this week when they travel to Westfield, Mass. for the James Earley Invitational on Saturday, October 11th.
