SCSU Women's Cross Country Records Best Finish in Program History at NCAA National Championships

KENOSHA, Wis. - Southern Connecticut women's cross country placed 29th at the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in a field of 34 teams. 

It is the team's highest finish percentage wise in program history (in 2000, they placed 22nd of 24 teams). 

NE10 Runner of the Year Courtney Henchcliffe led the way, placing 64th in a field of 262 runners. She recorded a personal best time of 21:25.9. 


PJ Dauphinias was next in 140th, finishing with a time of 22:14.2. Rae Geddes followed in 207th at 22:56.1. 

Abigail Bajorek and Erin Sola rounded out the scorers in 219th and 228th, with times of 23:07.6 and 23:16.5 respectively. 

Freshmen Maya Fisher (260th) and Anna Wayne (262nd) finished with times of 25:15.2 and 26:50.5. 

The Owls' team score of 753 was 227 points less than last year's national championship score. 

The race marks the end of a historic 2025 cross country season, which saw the Owls win their second conference and regional titles in program history.
