SCSU Women's Indoor T&F Sees Four Athletes Record Top Times in Division II at Greg Roy-al Rumble

Storrs, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Women's Indoor Track & Field saw four athletes record top times in Division II at the Greg Roy-al Rumble, hosted by UConn. Kisha Francois, Patrice Mansfield, Mackenzie Glenn, and Belle Smith all recorded marks that rank in the top 100 of DII this season. 

TRACK
In the 60m hurdles, Patrice Mansfield continued her breakout season, tying her personal best at 8.88 and placing 7th. That mark is the 49th best in all of Division II this season. Johniece Jones PR'd with a time of 9.637, good for 16th. Ginny Mullen placed 17th at 9.638, and Isabella Sorrentino finished 18th at 9.67. 

In the 60m dash, Mansfield also finished in seventh with a time of 7.97. 

Lindsay Drozd set a PR in the 300m, finishing in fifth with a time of 44.32.  

In the 500m, Cali Beebe finished in fourth with a time of 1:20.30, good for fourth place. 

Michaela Hogan was the Owls' top finisher in the 3000m, crossing in fourth with a time of 12:14.67 Sarah Johnson placed in fifth with a season-best time of 13:08.65.  

FIELD
In the High Jump, Johniece Jones placed fourth, setting a PR at 1.50m (4-11.00). 

Kisha Francois won the Long Jump, jumping 5.82m (19-01.25). It is a season-best jump for Francois, and is the 20th best in all of Division II this season. Mackenzie Glenn also had a top 100 jump in Division II, leaping 5.53m (18-01.75). Delaney Speed PR'd at 5.37m (17-07.50), and Deja Fitzpatrick-Bell jumped 5.31m (17-05.25). Ginny Mullen also set a new personal best at 4.74m (15-06.75), and Isabella Sorrentino jumped 4.73m (15-06.25). 

Belle Smith led the pack in the Shot Put, placing eighth at 12.02m (39-5.25). Darla Jagrosse placed ninth at 11.38m (37-04.00), and Kayla Johnson placed 12th at 11.02m (36-02.00). 

Smith was also the Owls' top finisher in the Weight Throw, throwing 16.49m (54-01.25) and finishing in seventh. Her throw was the 53rd best in DII this season. Celine Bozukluian finished in 17th, throwing 12.26m (40-02.75), Valerie Torres finished in 18th, throwing 12.03m (39-05.75), and Sydney Dolbier finished in 19th, throwing 12.00m (39-04.50). Darla Jagrosse rounded out the pack in 21st with a throw of 10.90m (35-09.25). 

The Owls compete again next weekend, traveling back to Boston for the Showdown at the Heights, hosted by Boston College on Friday, February 7th and Saturday, February 8th.
