MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut softball student-athletes Ashley Lewis and Olivia Young have been tabbed with Northeast-10 Weekly Awards as announced by the conference on Monday, Mar. 10. Lewis has been named the NE10 Pitcher of the Week and Young was named the NE10 Player of the Week. 

Ashley Lewis has had a hot start to the season, recording back-to-back no-hitters for the first time in Southern Connecticut history. She is 2-0 with two no-hitters, two shutouts, 13 innings pitched, 17 strikeouts, and two walks. She has allowed one hit in her previous four outings, dating back to last season.

Olivia Young has started off strong in her Owls debut batting .571 (8-for-14) in four games with seven RBIs, five runs scored, three doubles, a home run, and a 1.000 slugging percentage.

The Owls will host Bridgeport in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday, Mar. 13.
