SCSU Football Adds Non-Conference Game At Catawba On Saturday, Sept. 27

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut football head coach Joe Loth has announced the addition of a non-conference match up at Catawba College on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C.

With the departure of University of New Haven, Southern sat at nine games for the upcoming season. Catawba is a member of the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference (SAC) while the game will be the first meeting between the two teams. It also stands as one of three non-conference games on the 2025 slate, which also features its season opener at Post on Saturday, Sept. 13 and a trip to NCAA Division I Delaware State on Saturday, Oct. 11. 


The Owls open their home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they host American International at 1 p.m. at Jess Dow Field. After its trip to Catawba, Southern hosts Bentley for Homecoming on Oct. 4 followed by back-to-back road contests at Delaware State and Pace. The Owls return home to face Saint Anselm on Oct. 25 and wrap up the season against Post on Nov. 15 with trips to Assumption on Nov. 1 and Franklin Pierce on Nov. 8.
