SCSU Football's Kieran Falzon Named to D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University junior running back Kieran Falzon has been named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List for the 2025 season, as announced by D2Football.com. 

The Elite 100 Watch List was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with input from numerous sitting head coaches across Division II and professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan. The players on the list represent the official watch list for the D2Football.com 2025 Elite 100 Team, which will be announced at the conclusion of the season.

Falzon is coming off a breakout junior campaign that saw him establish himself as one of the top running backs in the Northeast-10 Conference and all of Super Region 1.

In 2025, Falzon led the NE10 in:
  • Rushing yards (1,227)
  • Rushing touchdowns (13)
  • Rushing yards per game (122.7)
  • All-purpose yards (1,366)
  • Scoring 
He was named to the All-NE10 Team, the New England Football Writers All-New England Team, and was a three-time NE10 Offensive Player of the Week. 

Falzon posted four 100-yard games on the season, including back-to-back career performances in NE10 play. He ran for a career-best 181 yards and two touchdowns (57 and 53 yards) on 23 carries in a 35-34 comeback win at Pace on Oct. 18, a performance that earned him NE10 Offensive Player of the Week. The following week, he erupted for a career-high 204 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in a 37-13 win over Saint Anselm. His 213-yard game later in the season marked the most in a single game in the NE10 in 2025 and the fourth-most in the conference over the past five seasons. 

A 5-foot-11, 200-pound junior from Hazlet, N.J., Falzon was a two-time All-Shore First Team and All-State selection at Raritan High School before arriving at Southern.

Falzon and the Owls open the 2026 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 when they travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to take on NCAA Division I Wagner. The Owls host American International on Saturday, Sept. 19 for their home opener at 5 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
